Since my last post about Franz Albert Kruger, new information has surfaced about his brother, August Ferdinand Krüger, my 4th great grandpa. August Ferdinand was the first one to marry Ernestine Wilhelmine Warner, the second being his brother Franz Albert Krüger who I wrote about here.
August Ferdinand died on the 16 April, 1870 at 1:00 when he was 28 years, 10 months, and 4 days old of Pneumonia. If his age is correct on the death record, he would have been born on the 12th of June, 1841. His death record lists his family surviving him as 1 minor daughter and a housewife.
He had married Ernestine on the 18th of November, 1867 in Güntersberg, Pommern, Preußen.
He was not much different from the rest of his family in terms of occupation. Just like his brother's and wife's families, he was an Instmann, a poor farmer who worked under a landowner while also hiring and lodging other farmers.
1870 was the year the entire family of Ferdinand and Ernestine was uprooted and, at the same time, replanted. On 14 May, 1870 at 8:00 their 2nd and last daughter Emma Emilie Kruger was born in Güntersberg. On the 17 July, 1870 she passed away at 4:00. Her Cause of death was listed as "Schwäche" or weakness.
After August Ferdinand died on the 16 April 1870 the family changed even more. On the 10th of October, 1870 she married Ferdinand's brother, Franz Albert. They would later go on to have another 8 children together and live in the USA.
