The owner of this website helped me to break past a brick wall on the van wert / wan wart side of my family. She has been researching for over 10 years, and has collaborated with many people. She has some unpublished, fully cited, genealogy books for the family among other things. The email on the website is outdated but I was able to contact her through ancestry. Her username is VWGen.

This is actually applicable to anyone who lived in Jewell Kansas, but since the majority of the family on my maternal side lived in Jewell at some point or another I decided to include it here. The database is not fully updated, but the person who owns it (Marjorie Slaughter, Jewell county's main genealogist) responds to emails and is very happy to help out. She gave me tons of obituaries for my family and helped immensely. I highly recommend you email her.
